TAXATION, ESTATE PLANNING AND DECEASED ESTATES

I specialise in all aspects of tax: individuals, corporate tax, wills, estate planning and trusts, VAT and exchange control. I also represent taxpayers in disputes with SARS, applying for directives, advance tax rulings and in fact any aspect of the tax affairs of clients.

ACADEMIC

My academic qualifications comprise a Bachelor of Commerce from Rhodes University in 1961 and a Master’s in Commerce in Taxation from Rhodes in 1985

ARTICLES

I write widely on tax-related topics nationally and internationally. Since 2007 I have been a member of the Tax Court.

EXPERIENCE

One of my more fulfilling positions is as a member of the editorial panel of Tax Chronicles Monthly, the highly regarded tax publication of the South African Institute of Taxation.
